Perpetrator of meaningless violence against Andy (28) reports to the police of Breda: « He eventually felt hunted » (Nijlen)

Andy Teulinghx went to Breda with five friends on 26 April to celebrate King’s Day in the Netherlands. « He celebrates with the Dutch every year, » Andy’s brother Björn already did the story of that evening last Sunday.

The friends opted for the 538 King’s Day party of Radio 538, on the Chasséveld, where there is normally parking space. That on Saturday it was a closed festival site with a total of 40,000 visitors and performances by Kraantje Pappie, Suzan & Freek, and ‘our’ Pommelien Thijs.

“Around 9.30 pm a group of Dutch men started to fight with another group. Andy and his friends were accidentally in between. Andy said the arguments to make it easy. That initially did not comment, but a little later Andy got a blow in his face and he fell on the ground. He hadn’t been struggling. he became unconscious.  » Andy was taken to the hospital of Breda, where it turned out that he had sustained a skull and a brain haemorrhage.

The fact that the perpetrator was still not found a week after the incident, Andy, his friends and brother Björn, frustrated enormously. That is why the latter decided, although somewhat unrecognizable, to share images of the perpetrator via Facebook groups. He also did his story on Sunday Gazet van Antwerpen. “And as a result I also got the chance to talk about the incident on Dutch TV, in Heart of the Netherlands. Successfully, because the fact that the pressure was increased, and that the perpetrator eventually felt hunted, he has just reported to the police with his lawyer, « says Björn.

We learned that the perpetrator stated that he was so drunk that he knows nothing about that evening. Andy’s friends say that it is not, and that means that he wants to come out under his responsibility

« That air, because that way the case can come to court, and that man can be punished, » says Björn. « On the other hand, we heard that his explanation is that he was so drunk that he knows nothing about that evening anymore. Andy’s friends say that that is not the case, and that means that he wants to come out under his responsibility. We will see what the investigation will bring, because the police will also view the audience images that have been taken by the festival organizers. »

Andy recovers from his injuries at home, in a dark room. « Even after a new MRI scan it appears that the bleeding in his brain is still there, » says Björn. « He must heal automatically, and that is only possible with sufficient rest and heavy pain relief to keep the headache somewhat bearable. »
