Perinski: Partnership with Hungary will contribute to the promotion of municipal development
Minister of Local Self-Government Zlatko Perinski, during a two-day visit to the Hungarian-Macedonian government summit in Budapest, had a bilateral meeting with Tibor Navracic, Minister of Public Administration and Regional Development of Hungary today.
At the meeting, according to the Ministry of Local Self -Government, the two ministers discussed the regional development, sustainability of local management systems, decentralization and territorial organization of the two countries, and shared and exchanged experiences and practices in the interest of improving the ways of functioning the local self -government.
Experiences on the way and organization of the Hungarian ministry were also shared in the part of the mechanisms used in the direction of regional development, digitization of local services and strengthening municipal capacities.
– The cooperation and support of our Hungarian friends so far is extremely important for our country. Hungary is a longtime friend and partner in our reforms and gladly share their successful practice in areas that are of great importance to our local self -government and regional development. This meeting is another proof of the strong and continuous support we receive from Hungary, and at the same time opens new opportunities to deepen cooperation between our countries – Perinski said after the meeting.
The meeting also discussed the possibility of strengthening the cooperation in the field of networking of our local communities within the EU programs, which would contribute to encouraging innovation and best practices at the local level.
« Shared experiences are of particular importance to improve the capacity of the local administration and regional development in our country, and intensifying cooperation is an important step in strengthening our partnership with Hungary as well as in the direction of achieving the country's European ambitions, » Perinski added.
He informed Minister Navracic at the meeting on the current course of the project for financial support to infrastructure projects, one of our Government's most important measures to promote municipal development, which is being implemented with funds provided by the Hungarian loan.
