Pentecost weekend will be fresh and changeable, but Frank Deboosere also has good news: « The temperatures will increase again next week »

The weather gods do not care much about the many wedding and spring parties that are planned. It will be a changeable Pentecost weekend with the possibility of fierce stumps. But there is light at the end of the tunnel, Frank Deboosere promises.
After months of drought we have been served changeable since mid -May. It will no longer get better this week, Frank confirms. « A series of showers have to pass on Thursday, and in the night from Thursday to Friday a lot of precipitation is expected everywhere. On Friday the first hours of the day are wet, then it would be better. »
Unfortunately we get the worst weather on Saturday. « An open air wedding? Then I would provide a plan B. It will be very changeable with here and there a sturdy thunderstorm, possibly even with hail. Although there will be nothing to notice in some places. That is very typical for summer stirs as they are expected on Saturday: in one place it is not going on with bins, elsewhere there is nothing wrong. »

On Sunday, showers can fall again and it will be fresh. « We get no more than 16 to 17 degrees. If you have to use money on a day of the extended weekend, do it on Monday. There could still be a shower here and there, but in most places it gets dry and sunny and we go towards 20 degrees. »
The weatherman also has good news. « There is always light at the end of the tunnel. The temperatures will rise in the course of next week. To Thursday and Friday we get temperatures of 25 degrees, dry weather and lots of sunshine. »

Is that the beginning of the heat wave that we might already have to deal with in mid -June? « We will not yet go to 30 degrees next week, but some will already complain about the warmth, » says Deboosere with a wink. « The chance that it will be a cold summer is certainly still very small. The reverse is much more logical and much more likely. »

But first some rain, so. Can the soil handle? « I am not worried about that yet. The bottom can still use some water after the long drought. One of the coming days is the name day of Saint Médard, a rain saint. In Wallonia they call him ‘Le Grand Pissard’. (laughs)«
