Pensions, falling in decrease, but the gender gap increases: women take 475 euros less per month
The decline in the new treatments paid by INPS after the government tight on 103 and women’s option exceeds 10%.
The measures adopted by the Meloni government to reduce early retirements compared to the 67 -year old retirement pension are reflected in the numbers released by INPS on the services liquidated in the first three months of 2015. The new early pensions provided by INPS between January and March were 54,094. Considering that it is a provisional data, they explain to INPS, that, compared to the first quarter of 2024, a drop can be estimated, when the final balance will be made of 10-11%. To curb the early exits, the narrow decisive of the current government on 103 (entirely contributory calculation, a roof to the amount, a 7-9 months window, bonus for those who remain at work) and on the women’s option (audience limited to caregivers, disabled and employees of companies in crisis, a increased requirements, increased requirements in function of the dependent children) that has caused the number of questions, also contributed to the early exits.
Significant, scrolling through the tables of the INPS Observatory, the data that signals an increase in gender disparities. Taking the complex of liquidated pensions (including old age) in the first quarter of 2025 (194,582 against approximately 187 thousand of the same period of 2024), it is seen that women receive 32% less than men on average: 1,011 euros per month against 1,486. The waste was 29% in 2024. For the workers, numerous factors weigh, including minors of contribution (many still those who leave work to cope with family care loads) and the lower wages than men.
Public-private differences
The average amount of liquidated pensions of the first quarter of this year was 1,237 euros, slightly increased on the 1,229 euros of 2024. An average behind which, also, also hidden here, strong differences. Public employees see 16,791 new pensions for an average amount of 2,172 euros per month (with peaks of 2,730 euros for old -age ones) while in the private sector 83,260 new checks were paid with an average value of 1,432 euros medium (with a tip of 2,228 euros for early pensions). For the autonomous, including the parasubordinates, the exits, always in the first quarter of this year, were 57,345 with 879 euros average (with tips of 1,409 for anticipated).
