For those with contributory holes, the redemption application can be submitted to INPS until 31 December 2025. The same pension institution in the in -depth dossier reminds him Vitalizia and contributory peace income.
The contributory peace 2024-2025 is a measure reserved for that audience of workers whose first contribution was paid starting from January 1, 1996. Thanks to the redemption of the periods of failure to contribute (the « contributory holes ») it is possible to fill the gaps for a maximum of 5 years (not necessarily consecutive).
The redeemed periods
Contributory peace is a completely voluntary measure and has the aim of safeguarding those who have achieved retirement age, but do not have minimum requirements for the advance or old age allowance.
As required by the Budget Law of December 2023, the periods between January 1, 1996 and January 1, 2024 can be redeemed, in whole or in part.
Excluding periods covered by any contribution
In order to be able to return to contributory peace, the period to be redeemed must not be covered by any type of mandatory, figurative, voluntary or redemption contribution, not only at the fund to which the application itself is directed, but also in any form of mandatory social security.
The redemption burden
The burden for redemption is determined with a percentage calculation, applying the contribution rate in force on the date of submission of the application. The basis for calculating the burden is the remuneration subject to contribution in the 12 months closest to the date of application, proportionally attributed to the redeemed periods. The redemption burden can be paid in a single solution or in a maximum of 120 monthly installments, each of an amount not less than 30 euros, without interest for installment. In cases in cases where redemption contributions are not possible for the immediate liquidation of a pension is not possible.

3. Definition of the amount to be paid: the amount will be calculated on the basis of the criteria established by article 2, paragraphs 3, 4, 5 and by art. 4 of Legislative Decree 184 of 1997.
« In the event of an application submitted by the worker », explains INPS, « installments are provided to facilitate those who intend to redeem more years of contributions ». However, « for private management, the pensioner cannot request installment payment and retirement involves the forfeiture of the benefit of installment, with the obligation to pay the residual capital in a single solution ».
Maximum 120 installments
The redemption burden can be paid in a single solution or in a maximum of 120 monthly installments, each of an amount not less than 30 euros, without application of interest for installment. The installment is not possible in cases where redemption contributions must be used for the immediate liquidation of a direct or indirect pension or in the event that they are decisive for the acceptance of a request for authorization for voluntary payments.
