PE supports Albania’s EU membership within 2030

The SP political minister and political leader for the Diaspora, Taulant Balla, is in Brussels. There he met with the president of the Socialist and Democratic group in the European Parliament, Iratxe Garcia Perez. For Balla, the European Parliament strongly supports Albania’s EU membership by 2030.

During the conversation, European integration and special attention was discussed, expressed by the opening of the region for the region in Tirana lately, but also in particular the support of the S&D Group in addition to traditional European support.

Balla emphasized Albania’s commitment to European integration and the importance of ongoing reforms, as well as the support of the EP in this process. Another topic of discussion was preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Albania. The meeting took place at the close of the two-day conference of the Socialist Group and Democrats for the EU Enlargement Initiative, Willy Brandt.
