Payment is obtained by work years in each country
The bilateral agreement of pensions between Albania and Italy will enable Albanian citizens, but also Italians to unite years of work for the benefit of pension. Deputy Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Olta Manjani says that this agreement makes it possible not to lose their contributions and citizens to receive pension from both countries.
« Implementation of the Agreement will enter exactly June 1. All those citizens who have been in place and across the border will not lose any working days from their contributions. The minimum number of years to receive a pension in Albania is 15 years and in Italy is 20 years and all those citizens who did not meet the minimum year of pension will have a pension. which is equivalent to the amount of contribution ”says Deputy Minister Manjani.
According to Deputy Minister Manjani, there are over 500,000 Albanian immigrants to Italy and 4,000 Italians working in Albania enough to be made in one of the countries. ”So from the moment the citizen puts the state where the benefits will make the benefits will be exported there at no additional cost, eliminating all the costs that Albanians previously faced. In this case the costs will be all zero for all Albanian nationals who decide to apply in Italy, or Italians deciding to apply in Albania ”, Manjani said.
Another important agreement for pension recognition is that with Greece where technical groups have already held their first meetings. « The Albanian side is very ready. The draft agreement we have ready and expect a signal, let’s say a political will by the Greek state to continue with technical negotiations officially. Usually negotiations go through two, three or in other cases and four rounds, » Manjani points out. So far our country including Italy has signed 17 agreements on the recognition of social contributions and is working with other countries where there is a presence of Albanian immigrants such as Slovenia, Estonia and Moldova.
