Pawlik & Pawlik Duo invites you to a musical journey in Kaunas

2023 The duo’s Pawlik & Pawli Duo, released in the autumn, recorded great reviews from critics during the Agnieszka Osiecka Concert during the Polish Radio Studio. The project was presented at many concerts and festivals in Warsaw, Lublin, Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden and others. After the concert in Kaunas, the duo will perform in Magdeburg (Germany) and the Polish presidency at the Alcázar Palace in Seville (Spain). Concerts in London, Luxembourg and German cities are planned in the autumn.

W. Pawlik is an internationally recognized jazz pianist and composer who graduated from the F. Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw and Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Hamburg. He has released 45 CD albums of his tracks. W. Pawlik is not limited to jazz pianist and composer, and he also makes music for films, ballet, poetry (and W. Shakespeare’s sonnets), radio soundtracks, etc.

W. Pawlik is one of the most famous Polish musicians, who has won many praise and awards, the most important of which Grammy (for Night in Calismia (2014) is the first in Eastern European jazz history. Like the leader of the Włodek Pawlik Trio, he performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival (Netherlands. Note ”, USA) and has held many concerts around the world, including in Lithuania (Kaunas Jazz 2020, etc.).

Ł. Pawlik is a multi -instrumentalist (plays cellon, piano, drums and bass guitar), composer and arranger. Graduate of Düsseldorf Robert-Schumann Hochschule (Germany), who has also studied Western Michigan University in Kalamaz, USA.

Ł. Pawlik is a prize winner of many competitions, both as a cellist and as a jazz pianist, including « 6th Berlin Jazz & Blues Award » (2006), where he participated with his group Cattoralna. Łukasz is known as one of the few cellists playing jazz. He has released and produced two albums of his works-Lonely Journey and Long-Distance Connections (Summit Records), featuring guest rights by musicians like R. Brecker, M. Stern, Dave Weklla, Tom Kennedy, Michael Patches Stewart.

He created « 3 fantasies » with a symphony orchestra and a jazz trio premiered in 2022. December with the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw.

Pawlik & Pawlik Duo is the first chamber family project, but W. and ł. Pawlikai has already made music together in 2016. The album « 4 Works 4 Orchestra » released, which records W. Pawlik’s orchestral music, including a concert for cello and orchestra Cellomania and We Are From Here for two piano, string orchestra and jazz section. These programs were performed in the main Polish concert halls with the most famous Polish orchestras. Both artists carry out independent artistic activities and are leaders of their own groups: Włodek Pawlik Trio and łukasz Pawlik Band.
