Paus: ‘I am proud to have done the IDS again to a healthy party’
IDS candidate for Istrian mayor Dalibor Paus told Pula on Friday that IDS, along with coalition partners, offered voters on the eve of Sunday’s local elections to the vision of Istria as strong, safe and their own, adding that they had a positive campaign.
– I am proud to have done the IDS to a healthy party again. I am proud to have led a positive and clean campaign, a campaign in which we fought ideas for Istria. I am proud that all our partners have come behind me, and that, in the time of the values, we offered something normal and something fair – Paus said at a final press conference.
He added that he was the most proud that the moment had arrived in which, as he said, « it becomes a vote to the IDS to people again. »
Paus pointed out three things that make a difference in the IDS program, which represent Istrian solidarity.
– This is our answer to the challenges that Istria faces today. It is the equalization of the prices of homes for the elderly throughout the county, solving the problem of Kaštijun, and not by switching responsibility, but by joint action. And this is a systematic work with municipalities and cities to resolve the issues of key to young people – housing, employment, education – he said.
Paus said that there were no blows under the belt during the campaign, but they fought with ideas, programs and communication with citizens, but also that they knew how to answer the provocations.
