Patients with emergency pathology and the need for CT diagnostics redirected to other public health institutions
The PHI University Institute of Radiology – Skopje informs that due to a more complex defect of the X -ray tubes of both computed tomographs (CT), which are found in the detached departments of the Emergency Center and surgical clinics, patients with emergency pathology are in need of CT diagnostics. This is stated in today’s statement by the Ministry of Health, where they clarify that for this purpose a plan for referring patients to overcome the defect has been prepared.
As they emphasize, the defect is intensively working with the purpose of continuity in the work and the highest possible health care for patients.
– The IMP service is already informed of the temporary directing of urgent patients, according to the plan. At the Cob « September 8 » from 08:00 to 14:00, from 20:00 to 02:00. At the University Clinic for Surgical Diseases « St. Naum Ohridski » from 14:00 to 20:00, from 02:00 to 08:00- the statement explains.
From the beginning of next week and the Jane Sandanski Polyclinic at the Health Center-Skopje, as well as other public health institutions available with this apparatus, according to the above, will be included in the Emergency CT Diagnostics plan.
– Two more CT appliances for the already scheduling oncological and other outpatient examinations, without delays, are uninterrupted at the Institute of Radiology, and radiological medical staff is ready at any time to be involved in the interpretation of emergency CT findings, which will be recorded in other institutions.
It is emphasized that the Institute of Radiology, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, is making every effort to put this equipment faster, with full commitment to continuous provision of quality health care.
