The pharmaceutical company Mesorb conducted a survey among 1.2 thousand Russians about which doctors they would like to have round -the -clock access and according to what criteria they choose specialists.
The therapist turned out to be the most popular – 40% of respondents chose this answer. The top 5 doctors also included an endocrinologist (21%), a psychiatrist (19%), an otolaryngologist (15%) and a cardiologist (14%).
In each second case (50% of the respondents indicated this), Russians decide on contacting a specialist, based on his tone and manner of communication. Only in second place are qualifications and status (46%) of the medic. The respondents also concern the appearance (30%) of the doctor and only in every fifth case – his age.
The most important criterion that defines the professionalism of the doctor is the Russians consider the status of a specialist in the medical community (as 39% of respondents answered). Respondents are also worried about the experience of a doctor (33%), its popularity on social networks (25%), as well as the cost of admission (23%). Less than the respondents were interested in the participation of a physician as a speaker in the media, only 8% of the study participants indicated to this.
It is interesting that the greatest need for round-the-clock access to the doctor is among people aged 36–40 years (36% of the respondents indicated this), which on average is two to three times higher than the rest of the groups of respondents. During the study, citizens were also asked how they are looking for the right specialist: 53% use recommendations from friends / relatives / acquaintances, 37% – search on the Internet, 16% – social networks, 15% – clinic sites.
