Parties want to save in the campaign, while arriving budget
Political parties are committed to containing expenses for this electoral campaign for legislatures, the second in just over a year, and all, except the arrival, say they spend less than in 2024.
The intention of savings, according to the budgets allocated to each party’s campaign, is over two million euros. compared to last year. In total spending forecast is 8.45 million euros.
AD, a coalition between PSD and CDs, plans to spend 2.55 million euros, less than 1.9 million euros from the expense in the 2024 campaign.
The PS wants to reduce by more than 700 thousand euros the expenses of the previous campaign, pointing to an expense of 2.25 million.
On the contrary, the arrival is the only party that expected to spend more than in 2024, with an expense of 1.6 million euros for the campaign, more than twice the 700,000 euros budget in 2024.
Already the liberal initiative provides to spend 575 thousand euros on the campaign, betting on the raising of funds.
On the left, CDU estimates a 595,000 euros expense, less than 190 thousand euros than the value initially foreseen in the 2024 legislatures, and the Left Block wants to invest just over 460,000 euros, a decrease over 48,000 euros compared to the 2024 budget.
Free provides to invest 150,000 euros, a value that just differs from 151,000 euros spending effectively in 2024, and PAN estimates to spend 150,000 euros, less 23.5 thousand euros than in 2024.
In total, parties represented in Parliament count to invest less than 2.1 million than in 2024.
Outside the current parliamentary representation, small parties want to spend just over 126,000 euros to debut in the Assembly of the Republic.
Together for the people (JPP), a second most voted party in the regional elections of Madeira, estimates to spend 55,000 euros on the election campaign and counts on it with a possible state grant, which is only guaranteed with the election of at least one deputy in the legislatures.
Already the new right says that will finance the campaign with 30 thousand euros that will have raised. The Liberal Social Party, the only rookie in the votes of votes and founded this year by a former IL member, provides to invest 12,500 euros, of which ten thousand come from their own funds.
Also noteworthy is the Portuguese Labor Party (PTP), which has the lowest budget, estimating investing only 100 euros, fully financed with their own funds.
