Part of oncological patients again without therapy, in progressing procedures

Some of the oncological patients were left without medication again. There are no biological therapy for breast cancer almost a month, and these days it has been gone on melanoma and lung cancer, the Hema -Onko association is responding.

Ana Marjanovic of the Hema -Onko association noted that the tender procedures for the annual procurement and administrative brakes are the reason that the seriously ill are left without the therapy they need.

– The tender was very late I don’t know why it is. We know that there will be not enough therapy since the beginning of February. I just hope that after the whole procedure has begun that this will not be delayed until the holidays and that they will be able to finish it until the holidays and not after May 1, which means that patients will be left without therapy for more than a month and a half – Marjanovic said.

The Clinic informs that the procedure for the annual procurement of therapy is ongoing and at the end of next week or immediately after Easter, contracts with suppliers will be signed to begin carrying missing drugs.

– The procedure is completed by the PHI UK for Radiotherapy and Oncology and is currently in administrative control in PIN. Upon completion of the administrative procedures, contracts with drug suppliers can be signed – inform the health institution.

Patients who need to take tablet therapy from pharmacies are also stuck in the administrative labster in order to reduce the congestion of patients taking this type of tertiary from the Oncology Clinic. They point out that although the budget for this year at this clinic has increased by three billion denars, they have not seen benefit so far. What remains the biggest problem is the long ranks patients at the clinic primarily because of the still unemployed new staff.

– The budget has increased, a huge thank you for having a bigger budget for oncological patients, but for now we feel nothing plus that they have increased our budget. There are no new jobs at the clinic, although we constantly appeal that there is an need for additional staff, not even hired by contract, I don’t know why they are waiting for so long – says Marjanovic.
