Parliament raises immunity to Cristina Rodrigues

The Permanent Commission of the Assembly of the Republic unanimously raised the parliamentary immunity of the deputy of the arrival Cristina Rodrigues. The purpose is to respond in court in a lawsuit filed by Pan, his previous party.

Last March, Cristina Rodrigues was accused by the prosecutor of the “practice of a crime of damage to programs or other computer data” allegedly committed in 2020, when she was leaving the PAN.

In this process, the prosecutor calls for a penalty not exceeding five years in prison, given the absence of criminal records of Cristina Rodrigues.

At issue is a complaint filed by PAN, according to which Cristina Rodrigues deleted thousands of emails, after leaving the party and passing the unfinished deputy.

This action will have occurred in 2020, at a time when I was no longer allowed to access the email address in question.

A 39-year-old lawyer Cristina Rodrigues was elected deputy for PAN in 2019, but walked away from this party in June 2020, passing the unregistered deputy.

In last year’s legislative elections, Cristina Rodrigues joined the third position on the list of deputies of arrives by the circle of Porto, having been elected.
