Parliament approved a resolution rejecting sanctions against Russia

51 deputies voted in favor.

BRATISLAVA. Members of the government should not vote in international organizations for the adoption of new sanctions and business restrictions on the Russian Federation.

At the same time, they are to actively enforce measures to stabilize the energy market, eliminate price volatility and protect the strategic interests of the Slovak economy.

It results from a resolution National Council The rejection of sanction policy and commercial restrictions on the Russian Federation and the protection of economic and energy interests approved on Thursday by MEPs. The resolution was submitted by the coalition SNS.

51 out of 76 deputies voted in favor. It was the whole CIS club, most of the club Directionbut also some legislators from the voice and several non -attached.

Ján Ferenčák voted against the vote, another 23, especially from the club, was delayed. The opposition MPs did not participate in the vote.

« The National Council notes that sanction policy and commercial restrictions on the Russian Federation contribute to the rise in energy prices and disrupt the supply chains, which weakens the competitiveness and economically benefit of Slovak enterprises, » the deputies said in a resolution.

Parliament rejects its adoption by the introduction and expansion of sanction policy and business restrictions on the Russian Federation, as they cause negative economic impact on the Slovak Republic, its industry and the population.

At the same time, it calls on the government to promote the protection of the national-economic interests of Slovakia and to actively oppose the measures causing negative economic impact on the Slovak Republic, its industry and the population.
