Parents of the deceased in Pulse Fire have submitted a request to the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Kocani for a meeting with prosecutors
Families and parents of the deceased in the Pulse Club today sent a letter to the Kocani Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office, demanding an immediate meeting with prosecutors.
The request comes after last week’s explanation of the indictment on the tragedy given by the public indictment Ljupco Kocevski, for which the parents said on Saturday’s « March for the Angels » that they did not understand the allegations.
– As we have already announced on Saturday, today we have submitted a written request for a meeting with prosecutors to explain the investigation and indictment in more detail. We have previously received the information that the prosecution is ready to meet us and after we agree with each other, we will report on the possible term of the meeting – said Maria Petrusova, a mother whose son suffered at Pulse.
At the last « march for the angels » in Kocani, the parents of the deceased in the tragic fire said they were not lawyers and did not understand the indictment against the suspects. They emphasized that it is essential for them to fully familiarize them with the outcome of the investigative procedure, as well as the contents of the indictment, ie which natural and legal persons are covered, against whom the procedure is conducted, and who are exempt from responsibility.
Parents believe that it is unacceptable for how to receive information through media or unofficial channels, they demand transparency and direct communication with the competent institutions. Support to monitor the entire procedure was also demanded by the Coalition for Fair Trials and Transparency Macedonia.
