Parachutist gets caught on stadium roof in Toulouse

Ferred moment in a rugby game in France: A parachutist from the Air Force has been hit by a wind gust on the lawn and was blown against the Toulouse stadium roof. There the man got stuck with his parachute and dangled for minutes in front of the eyes of 33,000 concerned spectators. Only the recalled fire brigade was able to free him from the forced position with a turntable ladder.

The parachutist had to take the game ball out of the air to the stadium of the Southwestern French city on Sunday afternoon. After the misfortune shortly before the start of the game, the spectators had to leave the seats directly below the soldier hanging in the air.

Employees and lion mascot rush to help

In order to protect him for a possible crash, helpers-including the mascot from Toulouse, a person in the lion costume-put soft objects such as foam advertising bonds and an inflatable mini-rugby field under the man.
