Panova: Opening space for real and fair social dialog
VMRO-DPMNE MP Eli Panova informed today at a press conference in the Parliament that the Committee on Economic Affairs, Labor and Energy Policy discussed the draft law amending the Labor Law, which proposes reducing the Social Society’s threshold of the union).
As he said, this change has a clear purpose – to create a fairer and more inclusive conditions for trade union association and representation in the Economic and Social Council.
According to her, the reduction in the threshold will allow more trade unions to receive the right to participate in the ESS, where important decisions are made to workers, employers and the state. Panova said that at yesterday’s meeting with representatives of KSS, XOM and UNASM, there was support for the initiative.
-Their views were clear -this change is needed, righteous and comes at the right moment. As VMRO – DPMNE MPs and the coalition we clearly order: the goal is not to create confrontation between unions, but to open space for real and fair social dialogue. The representativeness should not be an obstacle, but a means of true representation of the interests of the workers – said Panova.
The parliamentary group remains open to communicate with all trade union organizations, including those that were not present at the meeting because, as Panova said, they believe that only through involvement and dialogue can a more stable social system be built.
« This change is just one of the steps we are taking in the direction of a more modern, fairer and European labor system, » Panova said.
Today’s seed of the Committee on Economic Affairs for further proceedings voted on the law amending the Labor Law, which an amendment was not accepted, and the amendments to the Law on Protection of Workplace, which had not been paid.
The Draft Law on Putting Technical Equipment for Transport, Draft Law on Amending the Law on Volunteering and Draft -law Amending the Law on Youth Appendix, all in the first reading is also given.
