The testimony of the defendant Ljupco Palevski in the case of the murder of Vanja Gjorcevska and Pance Zezovski ended in the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje. He thinks the motive for murder is illogical and unproven.

During the interrogation, Palevski, who had previously denied any connection to violent crimes, again expressed confidence that the whole process was political persecution against him. He disputed the importance of some of the prosecution evidence and presented his own version of the events of November 22, 2023, the day the alleged criminal acts took place.

The prosecutor asked Palevski as a witness he claims to have met on that day, a person who was allegedly scared of his dog, but Palevski could not name that person. He claimed that the witness had been physically assaulted by investigators, although he could not provide concrete details about him.

« I cannot remember the name and surname of the person, but that person exists and has serious consequences, » Palevski said, adding that his defense plans legal steps.

Regarding his communication on the day of the event, Palevski denied that he was active on the phone until 13:14. According to his explanation, he used the Internet via Telegram and avoided public telephone lines so as not to be illegally eavesdropped.

« I do not answer calls on an ordinary line because I do not want to be illegally tapped, I use exclusively a telegram, » the defendant said.

According to him, telephone analysis does not explain the times of calls and internet communication, which makes the prosecution evidence incomplete.

– Here’s how it was on 22.11.2023. The phone call you mentioned is on an ordinary line, GSN talk. That conversation in the report is divided into 7 conversations, all 60 seconds, and after that there are no base stations in the report by 4:30 pm – said Palevski.

He also explained his presence at Halk Bank on November 24, when an attempt was made to abduct Vanja, denying that he considered it an alibi.

– Just when you claim that there was a failed attempt to abduct Vanja, 24.11.2023, I was in the same bank where I didn’t know I was making an alibi, but with my stamp I had to go to Halk Bank on 24 Also, to sign up and hit the sale of foreign exchange, The lock is not 7:20 like you hard, but after 10 o’clock. Exactly because I haven’t done an alibi in the way I could do, it shows something else, not intention to kidnap and kill – he explained.

Regarding the motive for the murder, Palevski denied all accusations, pointing out that there is no evidence that supports the prosecution’s claims.

He noted that he is not interested in usefulness, but that the indictment is illogical and unproven. Palevski even disputed the allegations that he had contact with Vanja’s family, pointing out that Alexander himself, the former partner of Zorica, was already in possession of the most expensive property.

– Your motive in the indictment you blame is illogical and unproven because you have not approached any evidence. My comparison of logics and saying that if it was useful for the child shelter first, not a classic murder, would have been contacted with the mother or father to make that blackmail, to force someone to give money, but not only did it not happen, but you did not offer any evidence. That’s why I gave an example with an average criminal mind, I didn’t interest me, I read in the writings that Alexander already owns the family’s most expensive property apartment in the Fontana building where a child who has a value of over 2500,000 euros and that the rest of the property is killed, and not the child is killed, and not the child is killed by the child. It has not been proven, but totally illogical to be useful and blackmail – he replied.

The other defendants and their defense had no questions about Palevski. While the court asked him about the magnetic resonance, where Palevski replied that those recordings were not listed on the list of seized items, though, as he said, he had with him when traveling to Belgrade.

The trial for the murder of Vanja and Pance continues on May 16.
