Prohens, who has not dismissed how the agreement on linguistic matters has been because he has delegated it to a subsequent appearance of the parliamentary spokesmen of both formations, has insisted that the agreement in this matter « respects the red lines of both parties. » The agreement « respects the statute of autonomy in this matter » has indicated. In recent weeks, the PP, which does not have a majority in the Parliament, has closed pacts with the ultras to approve regulations on tourism, housing and sales of Catalan’s knowledge to work in the regional administration.

The president has not wanted to give details of the course of the negotiations, but she has stressed that both formations have points on which they are « very remote » but has insisted that everything related to the changes in linguistic policy have been agreed “from common sense” and respecting the current legilsation, from the statute of autonomy to the Linguistic Standardization Law.
