Outlander returned
Mitsubishi was once very well known for SUVs, then for sports utilities. Outlander, who was quite popular in Europe, was also particularly among these. Then there was no time on the old continent, but now it’s here again. Exclusively as a plug -in hybrid.
Mitsubishi announced last year that he is returning the outlander to Europe. SUV was available elsewhere in the world, and at the time of renovation, they made sense to return it to the old continent as well. The 4.7 -meter SUV is unmistakable on the road, the front has an aggressive, almost too much – or not, as for anyone. The rear is much more subdued.
The interior is not in the last fashion, but it may be more important that the materials used work with quality, that the well -being is very good and the car does not tire the driver with excessive digitization. It is also spacious in the back, where we miss the longitudinal displacement of the bench, but at least when it breaks, it is divided into a useful ratio of 40/20/40. The trunk basically accommodates almost 500 liters of cargo.

In Europe, the outlander is sold in only one powertrain, as a plug-in gasoline-electric hybrid. We have already written about this, but let’s say that among the Outlander connection hybrids, it was even the best -selling model on the old continent. This year’s performance is updated, combines a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric ones, has a four-wheel drive, which also points to rotating wheels in its cabin, which can be used to choose from different driving programs, including more off-road. The car is 20 cm away from the ground.
The system power of the powertrain is 225 kW. Not exactly lightweight SUV (weight is 2.1 tonnes) from a place to 100 miles per hour accelerates in just under eight seconds, with a top speed of 170 km/h.
According to the official measuring protocol, it can only travel more than 80 kilometers with electricity (23 kWh), and then operate as a hybrid, with a total range of fuel (53 liters). The battery can be charged slowly with alternating current, but it can also be faster with one -way if there is a so -called Chademo connection on the charger, which shows that this car comes from Japan.
In our country, the price of the outlander starts at 49,000 euros and goes around 57 thousand euros. He is expected to find 60 customers this year.
