OT Forum – Papachristou: New pillar for infrastructure at the June Hypermalion

Within next month, a new pillar is expected to be set up for the Superstar.

This is the Sovereign Growth Fund, which will focus on the infrastructure, according to the CEO of the Hypothesis Ioannis Papachristou, speaking on the 5th OT Forum.

As he explained, this fund « will be founded within the following month », noting that there are already exploratory contacts, but the majority will not hold the super -municipality. Subsequently, the next step will be the choice of administration, and as he pointed out « the goal is to make 1-2 investments in the current year », while adding to the meaning that

« The important thing is to work with a worldwide renowned investors. » At the same time, Mr. Papachristou stressed that the aim is to invest in the circular economy, data centers and energy.

As Mr. Papachristou explained, « he lacked an aggressive sector of the Treasury », to add that with this new fund « we will become accelerators and join with other global investors ». It is worth noting that the initial capital (on the side of the superiority) will be close to EUR 300 million, with the aim of being an additional increase in the process.

Also, the CEO of the Treasury noted that the next objective is to exploit the infrastructure, referring to airports, ports, marinas and other areas « with our work to accelerate the exploitation ».

Special reference also made the need to transform companies belonging to the wider public sector, talking about OASA, ETAD and ELTA, noting that all reforms should be done.

Concerning the goals of the Hypermalion, the company’s CEO noted that we should « be in cutting -edge areas. What we are interested in tangible, measurable results. « 

What changes to OASA, Metro and ETAD

Referring to the DEKO of the State, he spoke of OASA, saying that « in almost a year the whole fleet will be refreshed », and 9 new buses are expected to come immediately. He also said that 14 trains are expected to be renovated in the next period, stressing that « citizens’ safety is important », referring to the Ariadne program.

Regarding the ERDF, Mr. Papachristou a reason for a new project AI, which will help digitize 36,000 properties, follow a 6,500 valuation and then exploit about 1,000. As he added, « in 2 years the process will be completed ».

Beyond that, the CEO of the Treasury considers « important to incorporate the evaluation. Importance and evaluation are a means of good governance, « referring to the law that has been in place for a year.

The 5 challenges

Finally, he referred to all five challenges facing the Hypertension, which are as follows:
