Criminal suspicions|Police are asking for observations of a family whose parents are suspected of having seven children of their own custody.
Police Looking for a Ostrobothnian family whose parents are suspected of having seven children’s arbitrary care. The family has been missing for over a year.
According to a police release, the children were located on Uusikaarlepyy, where their parents took them and left the van. At the time of the disappearance, the mother of the family was pregnant.
Police suspect that the family may be hidden either in Ostrobothnia, in southern Finland or in some other Nordic countries.
The suspected arbitrary custody took place in May 2024, and after the disappearance of the family, the police have not found any traces, even though there has been a close cooperation between the authorities to locate the family. Therefore, the police are only asking for observations of the family now, says the investigator -in Tony Rauma.
« We didn’t see any other way to find out where they are. »
Because The family has succeeded in disappearing the cadres, the police also suspect that some people known to the family hide the family. Police think that some kind of support network would have been formed around the family.
According to Rauma, the police have received a little tips from the family, but the clues have not led to the family.
Family At least for the time being, however, parents are not suspected of child abduction, as there is no certainty as to whether the family is in Finland or abroad. As a criminal offense, child abduction differs from arbitrary care in that the children in custody should have been taken abroad.
According to Rauma, crime titles may, of course, still change as the investigation progresses.
Police are asking for observations of a family or information about people who may help the family. The findings can be sent to the Ostrobothnia police by email to [email protected] or on 0295 415 501.
