Ostapenko wins the Stuttgart WTA 500 Series Tournament and gets a new Porsche / Day

Ostapenko, who ranks 24th in the world, won with 6-4, 6-1, winning the first winner of the tournament this season and celebrating success in one of the WTA singles tournaments for the ninth time in his career.

Ostapenko won 67 of 117 games throughout the match.

Ostapenko also received the tournament sponsor « Porsche » for the tournament with the power -powered Macan 4.

After receiving the winner of the prize, Ostapenko thanked the final opponent and wished her to win in one of the next tournaments.

« It was great – to be on a court with such a great tennis player as you, » Ostapenko said.

Ostapenko earned the 500 world ranking for victory in the tournament, which will allow the world to return to the top 20.

For the Latvian tennis player, this was the first final on clay cover since the 2017 French Open Championship, where she won her first and only Grand Slam title. Before that, she lost to the Charleston Tournament in the same year.

The Latvian tennis player in Stuttgart started for the seventh time, finishing in the quarterfinals in 2018, but last year she lost in the first round.

Ostapenko paired with Yastremsk on Wednesday lost to the doubles match in the quarter -finals, earning 108 World doubles points.

Ostapenko will then compete in the Madrid WTA 1000 tournament, which will be free from the first round, but in the second she has a meeting with Anastasia Sevastov.
