Orban’s Government in writing urged the Hungarians to vote against Ukraine, promises to execute this decision

The Hungarian government began to send ballots for national consultation, in which the citizens of the country are interviewed in support of Ukraine’s membership in the EU; Official Budapest directly calls for the Hungarians to speak against.

This is stated in the dated April 19 letter of the Information Center of the Hungarian Government, which is at the disposal of « European Truth ».

In a letter, the Hungarian government urges to vote against the support of Ukraine’s accession to the EU, because, according to official Budapest, it will « cause huge losses to Hungary. »

« It will cost every Hungarian family hundreds of thousands of forints a year, jeopardize pension and support for farmers, and will cause risks to safety and labor market, » the letter reads.

The government also claim that « accelerated accession to Ukraine in the current environment will destroy the Hungarian economy. »

« We, the Hungarians, cannot put up with the fact that such an important issue is resolved in our eyes. In the coming weeks, the government will provide detailed information on issues related to Ukraine’s accession, » the letter stated.

The Hungarian government assured that it would consider the results of voting binding on itself.

In a letter from Hungary citizens, they urge to « participate in voting » and « make a responsible decision ».

The survey ballots will be delivered by the end of May.

It is known that on March 5, Hungary Prime Minister Victor Orban announced a survey in Hungary to support Ukraine’s membership in the EU.

This initiative of Orban sarcastically commented Polish Foreign Minister Radoslav Sikorsky.

As for Ukraine, the Hungarian government has already conducted « consultations »the questions on which were formulated manipulatively.
