Or Bethlehem or misery

Or Bethlehem or misery

The results of the last legislative elections bring apprehension over the next few years of Portugal.
The leader of the Left Block comes with a Palestinian scarf on the night of the electoral defeat. All concern and solidarity with the Palestinian people (who suffer barbarously), but it was this kind of alienation of the reality of the Portuguese who took the party on that path.
The still secretary general of the Socialist Party returned, in his victory concession speech, to speak of the prime minister’s suitability. Someone who tells Pedro Nuno Santos that a ‘normal’ candidate the head of government does not speak in these terms. It has decreased itself, the position, and the Socialist Party. It has decreased so much his party that he was able to become a third national political force.
The arrival leader managed to distribute hatred and guilt, manipulating resentments. He got sick, but recovered miraculously, probably thanks to the immigrant doctor who treated him. There is no serious proposal that will change the lives of the Portuguese, who vote for him because the pain they feel is much more intense than the light of hope that no one offers them.
The prime minister does not have, never had a revolutionary plan, perhaps because, at this time, the country needs decisions, rather than revolutions. Nevertheless, it needs reforms such as in the Armed Forces, which adapt to the new international context, or in court – which will only be possible with another tenant in Belém. He has not had a parliamentary support for the reforms that the country needs. For them, you can only count on a wounded PS, the arrival is for nothing that implies confidence.
Free and liberal initiative are both outside the reality of the life of the ordinary citizen. The first lives in a sterile environmental illusion, the second swallowed a booklet of liberalism out of time: also for little fits. Rui Rocha is a civilized and urban individual, but when concrete proposals were needed, the votes fled.
Communists continue to grow old, ideas and proposals. These are, consensually, serious people, but the cassette is dated and the times are different.
In this country, with so many leaders lived only in the ‘bubble’, a few days after the elections we knew that three out of five Portuguese say ‘having no money for basic needs’. These data are combined with the alienated left, which abandoned economic growth and the real needs of the population; The PS that said there was no necessary structural reforms; Liberals who want to cut on support for a people who suffocate without such support; A PSD/AD that wants to reform but has no parliamentary support for it; And the right -wing radicals who think it is the fault of immigrants and Gypsies.
We have added to this a persecuting and persecuting justice, which sees ghosts, does not know reality and insists on giving media shows to Gaudio of populists.
Countries change with strategies that depend on consensus. These are the center. Therefore, when there is no center, there is no strategy.
There is only one hypothesis on the horizon: the election of a president, who comes outside the traditional game of parties.
Looking at the panorama, or the consensus is built from Belém, or the next generation of Portuguese has gone too!

PS – Oeiras represented the lowest voting rate of arrival in urban municipalities. Merit to Isaltino Morais, who made a depressed suburb of Lisbon, the most powerful and balanced centrality in the country. It’s his, even without being in the voting report, one of the great victories of the election night.
