Oprah Winfrey is in our country: « What delicious chocolate do you have »

TV legend Oprah Winfrey is in Puurs in Antwerp on Sunday for the Technology event Supernova. There she spoke with organizer Jurgen Ingels about « overcoming challenges and achieving greatness. »
« What a delicious chocolate you have here. » Those were the first words of Oprah Winfrey on the opening evening of the Technology event Supernova in Puurs. She was invited by organizer Jurgen Ingels « for a moderated conversation about overcoming challenges and achieving greatness. » And of the 1,700 attendees, she immediately received a standing ovation.
She never had dreams, the legendary presenter told the full room. She did what she thought she had to do. Her instinct told her that she certainly did not want the poor life, she replied to a question from Ingels. When she was four years old, she already knew she wanted more « than working for white masters. »
« My life is a miracle. Do what you think you should do. Then it will be fine. It happened to me because I really wanted it. »
Ingels asked Winfrey some questions about her career, but it was not long before the TV legend fell into old habits and took over. She started asking questions herself, but laughed when she realized that she is actually in Puurs on Sunday evening to answer the questions.
Supernova is a two -day mecca for entrepreneurs. The real conference will take place on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 March in De Waagnatie. 120 speakers are expected there, including Marc Coucke, Greg Van Avermaet, NASA-Astronaute Marsha Ivins and voices from Ferrari and Meta. But on Sunday evening the event kicks off at the Studio 100 Pop-up Theater in Puurs with a special meeting called « An Evening with Oprah Winfrey. » Last year Ingels was also able to snare a big name for his opening evening and the former US President Barack Obama came to our country.
