Online violence. I get on my nerves because we’re quiet

« I’m going on my nerves for myself because I’m quiet, » the record on the social network Facebook began Nina KozarAdministrator of the Book Book profile. The publication related to the alleged sabotage of literary works Some Slovenian writers on the Goodreads platform. Someone – there were quite a few assumed to be a writer Jacob J. Kendoalthough it is for Work He denied these accusations – he regularly evaluated books with a single star, attributing (un) argumentative and contemptible criticism.

It all indicated that one person was standing under individual anonymous profiles, since the records of power were similar or almost identical. I say, because now anonymous criticism from Goodreads has already erased. Everyone has the right to dislike certain books, and they can attribute a bad estimate to them.

The problem arises when the case indicates the modus of the operanda of a single person, a man who turned to individual authors and readers (mostly women) with degrading records and « explain » why some books (in his belief) are not readable.

Under the publication of Nina Kozar, women’s records – with names and surnames, are not taken for granted – who had a similar experience of « attack and attempted discredit », either as the authors of literary works or as a reader who spread (good) voice about books. Some readers also presented their position, and one justified the difference between what books are read by men and what kind of women and how they « feel » them. The author is certainly written about interpersonal relationships in a different way than authors, and maybe these records are really closer to persons of the same sex.

It is not every book written by the author, good and worthy reading simply because it has been written by a woman, but there are almost no argumentative literary criticism in Slovenia. And even if the book is still praised, it doesn’t have to be liked by everyone. I have tried to read it twice already to be so praised Naples cycle Elena FerranteBut it doesn’t work, so I put the books and the question of whether I will ever take them in my hands. A similar incomprehensible phenomenon is my self -help books that become a hit before the outcome. A few times I have involved in the debate that it doesn’t matter what anyone is reading, just to do it. I miss more critical reading.

On the other hand, who am I to judge?

But with the Facebook debate that I started this record, it is not just about evaluating on the Goodreads platform, as one of the commentators pointed out well. It is not just about the quality of the works written. These are verbal outbursts that should not have space in society – some have published evidence for this in the form of a phone screen or copies of social network records. Can we disagree with something, but why can’t we disagree as adults, without humiliation and spitting?

What a relationship to women remains in 2025 (p), confirms twenty finalists for barbed bra. “Two basic tasks of a woman in society are that she is caring for loving. What is the task of men? Security. That is, if you don’t feel safe in the class, the guys ‘feuds’, if there is no good ‘flow’ in the class, you ‘feylale’ girls. Simply, « read » finalist « , a grammatically enriched statement, which the author had otherwise deleted from the social network.

Here we are, in the case of stereotypical roles, when listing how « we have a wide choice of choosing women when we look for a partner because there are more and more immigrants » (another candidate for barbed Neža)…

We’re here. That we attack (especially, but not just) women who are good or good. Better writers, authors whose books occupy the first places in the lists of works sold, to evaluate women by their appearance and after who they sleep with.

We’re here.

I go on my nerves when I’m quiet.
