One suspected of endangering traffic safety
Due to reasonable suspicion of committing a crime-endangering the safety of traffic referred to in Article 297 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office Skopje initiated proceedings against a 32-year-old Skopje man.
The suspect, on June 16 in the evening, under the influence of an alcohol of 1.34 promiles, drove a foreign Volkswagen Passat car on Hristo Tatarchev Street in Kisela Voda.
Although he was aware that because of his behavior in traffic, he could have a harmful consequence, he agreed with her performance. He crossed the vehicle to part of the road intended for moving vehicles from the opposite direction and with the front left side of the car hit a « Fiat Stole » vehicle coming from the opposite side. In the accident, the passenger of the Fiat Stole car suffered bodily injuries.
In order to conduct criminal proceedings smoothly, the public prosecutor urged the pre -trial judge to impose a precautionary measure – temporary seizure of the suspect’s driver’s license and ban on issuing a new one. The proposal has been submitted, primarily due to the need for the suspect not to appear as a motorcycle traffic participant at least until the criminal proceedings against him, given that as a result of his traffic actions, one person has been caused by bodily injuries.
