The first day of June will begin with a chilly sunrise – the minimum air temperature will be +2 .. +9 degrees, in some places the frost grass in the top and fog. The day will be dry and mostly sunny, the air warms up to +18 .. +22 degrees, for some degree cooler air will remain on the coast.
According to current forecasts on Monday night and in the morning, from the southwest of the country, heavy rain is expected. Precipitation is expected to continue next week. Like this week, the air temperature will sometimes rise just above +20 degrees, with nights are expected to be cooler than +5 degrees.
In sunny days, ultraviolet radiation in the middle of the day will reach a high level – people with sensitive skin, without caution, can burn in the sun for 20 minutes. The sun should be most protected from 12 noon to 3 pm.
The Latvian Center for Environment, Geology and Meteorology warns that in the eastern days of the country, water levels will continue to rise and can flood wider areas.
According to the European Medium -Term Prediction Center, in most of Europe, June will be warmer than normal, but the average monthly air temperature in Scandinavia and the Baltic States is expected to be close to the usual level, with a higher precipitation in places more than usual in June.
