On weekends, rainfall and gusty wind / day are expected
On Wednesday night and on May 1, there will be a temporary rainfall in many places, with rainfall and wet snow expected in Vidzeme and Latgale, as well as hail and thunderstorms. North, northwest wind gusts at speeds up to 13-18 meters per second, in Jurmala and Riga-up to 19-22 meters per second. In the morning the sky will clear and the air temperature will drop to -1 ..+4 degrees.
On the first day of May, the weather will be mostly dry and sunny, with gusts of northwest wind up to 14 meters per second in Latgale and Selonia. Air temperature in the afternoon +8 .. +14 degrees.
At night on Friday, the thermometer bar will drop to -2 degrees in the eastern part of the country, but during the day the air in Latvia will warm up to +14 .. +20 degrees. Starting from the west, during the day, there will be a temporary rainfall, with thunderstorms. South wind gusts up to 13-18 meters per second are expected on Friday.
On Saturday, the wind will turn from the west, with gusts blowing at 10-15 meters per second. In some places it will rain, with more precipitation at night in the east of the country. In most areas, the air temperature will drop to +5 .. +8 degrees at night and reach +11 .. +16 degrees during the day.
On Sunday and Monday it is expected to flow into Latvia with colder air – the temperature will not exceed +7 .. +12 degrees. In addition to the temporary rainfall, there will be snow and hail, with a gusty northwest wind blowing.
At the beginning of next week, the air temperature will drop to 0 ..- 4 degrees at night.
