The Prince’s Palace in Monaco is located in the old part of the city, known as Monaco-Ville or « Le Rocher » (rock). It is spectacularly located on a rocky promontory that rises about 60 meters above the sea level and dominates the port of Monaco (port Hercules).

The palace offers spectacular panoramic views over the Mediterranean Sea, the port with luxury yachts and the mountains that frame the principality. Access is usually made on foot, climbing the medieval streets in Monaco-Ville or by bus 1 which is taken from how to go out of Monaco Monte Carlo railway station.

It is the salon in which the official ceremony of royal civil marriages takes place. For example, here the civil marriage of Prince Albert II with Charlene Wittstock was held in 2011.
