On the occasion of two holidays – two thousand pine trees

Daiva Marozienė, director of Klaipeda S. Dach progymnasium, said that this initiative was aimed at commemorating two important anniversaries.

« It was dedicated to the school anniversary and S. Dach’s year. In the Curonian Spit, Smiltynė, together with the staff of the State Forest Enterprise, our school students and teachers planted two thousand pine trees. What we and the SFE is very pleased. They become very beautiful that when the entire designated area was planted, the SFE brought another pine at a time.

S. Dach progymnasium is the oldest in Klaipeda and is celebrating its 170th birthday this year.

And the port city celebrates the 420th birth anniversary of Dach this year, so this initiative is a way to not only show communion, but also to remember historical events that testify to the cultural heritage of the city.

« We are the oldest school in Klaipeda. The initiative was on the occasion of the anniversary, but when the children came back well, we were considering because our school has a green flag for the 19th time and our goal is to promote sustainability and natural protection, so I think it will not be a one -time campaign and possibly turn into a certain tradition. »
