On the marathon of the Knowledge Society discussed negotiations with the United States
Russian Society “Knowledge” launched another educational marathon, this time dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. On April 28, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the head of the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Transport Anton Siluanov and Roman Starovoit, as well as the general director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev, performed in the metropolitan Museum of Victory. The speakers spent parallels between history and modernity, and Mr. Dmitriev told the youth about the most relevant topic – negotiations with the Americans.
In addition to Moscow, the Marathon “Knowledge” started in Kazan, Vladikavkaz, Omsk, Perm, Sevastopol, Ryazan, Salekhard, St. Petersburg and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The general director of VTsIOMA, who performed in the northern capital, Valery Fedorov presented the results of a fresh survey, from which, in particular, it follows that modern youth, according to most Russians, gives the victory of 1945 a much lower value than previous generations (see schedule). And the speakers on the main platform in Moscow did everything to instruct the true path of at least sitting in front of them, schoolchildren and students.
Thus, Mikhail Mishustin began his lecture with a description of the technological jerk, which gave the country the impulse “decades in advance”, allowing him to go from Katyush to the space program and nuclear shield, and also drew attention to the “debit of the control system during the war years. Moving from the battles of the past to the confrontation of the present, the prime minister stated that the “wareh -scale race for technological leadership” began in the world: “competitors are trying to restrain Russia’s development, and block access to innovation and resources. Microelectronics, machines and equipment, aircraft, medicines and medical products – all this has become the subject of restrictive measures. ” However, the Russian economy, despite 30 thousand sanctions, not only survived, but also entered the four largest in the world, emphasized Mr. Mishustin.
Then the head of government went on national projects, telling about plans to increase the extraction of scarce metals – niobium, tantalus, tungsten, beryllium, etc., about the construction of new atomic icebreakers of project 22220, as well as the development of unmanned aviation systems, the production of which over the past year has grown almost three times.
Answering the questions of young listeners, the prime minister said that “there is no higher or higher education,” and emphasized that it was professional who moves the technological sovereignty of Russia, and working professions are “the best professions”.
Finally, a deficiency of electricity called a key global problem: in the 21st century, electricity should be “basic law”, and not by privilege, he summed up.
Next, the lecture on the work of the financial system during the war years was read by the head of the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov. Having easily connected the past and the present, the minister said that now the needs for the needs of a special military operation are also provided with the state « in full and unquestioningly. » The resources, according to him, were also helped by a new taxation scale, which “improved justice”: “Whoever earns more can pay more and pay taxes.”
Mr. Siluanov ended with the answer to the question of what books should be read to those who are interested in finances by calling the “Examiner”, “Dead Souls” and “Cherry Garden”: “You will find a lot about finances of good and useful information there.”
Within the framework of the first day of the Marathon, the Museum of Victory was also performed by the Minister of Transport Roman Starovoit, State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Fetisov, the chairman of the board of the « Movement of the First » Arthur Orlov, the chief of staff of the Unarmia Vladislav Golovin and the general director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, and recently, the presidential representative of investment and economic cooperation Dmitriev.
Mr. Dmitriev touched on a more than relevant topic of negotiations with the United States. According to him, this process is based on several factors. The first is that « veterans have laid: faith in oneself and the ability to win. » The second is the ability to find similarities « even with such a difficult player as the USA. » “We see that the new administration has a field of traditional values,” the presidential special representative explained. Finally, the third factor is a « calm, respectful dialogue. »
Kirill Dmitriev also admitted that during the negotiations he has to communicate with people who are “victims of misinformation and lies”: “They are extremely negative, shaking, sitting stressfully, look at you like an enemy. But the report of our position, the report of the President’s position even with such people is possible – you just need to be able to reach out. ” It is possible to do this with the help of facts, since the Russian side has a “strong position”. “Russia is tuned in to the world,” Mr. Dmitriev summed up, reminding the importance of finding compromises.
