On Museum Night, the Latvian National History Museum invites to four sights / day

The museum’s repository at 8 Pulka Street is scheduled for about two hours of tours of ethnography, numismatics, historical objects, as well as restoration workshops and premises that are not available to interested people on a daily basis. The museum in Riga Castle (Pils Square 3, entrance from the Daugava Gate) Museum will be open from 19.00 to 24.00 (entrance to 23.00) and offers the program on all four floors Stories shine in Riga Castle. Guests will be welcomed by the Honorary Guard of the Order (History Research and Reconstruction Club Rodenpoys), in the premises of the majestic castle, the image or event of the history of Riga Castle will be illuminated, related to the beginning of the castle more than 500 years ago and later centuries. You will also be able to see the items found in archaeological excavations at the castle.

The Riga Castle will be able to see in historical images and works of art at different times. Gambling visitors will have access to orienteering pages, will be captured in a photo tour, but move on – the most valuable Latvian song disco.

From 7pm to 8pm will be performed in ancient music in the live performance of JVLMA students and lecturers in the Baroque Orchestra.

The Museum Night will begin at 17.00 in Dauderos (Sarkandaugava). The People’s Front Museum (13/15 Vecpilsētas Street) will be waiting for Museum Night visitors from 19.00 to 23.00 with program Our 35 Freedom Spring. Looking at the museum’s exhibition, participating in a creative workshop, orienteering play and solving the tasks of the worksheet, watching the 35th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and leaving the atmosphere of the competition, the guests will be invited to reflect on what has been 35 years after Latvia’s independence.
