Danijel APRO, the writer and journalist from Novi Sad SEO is on the bicycle and set off to tour the train stations in Vojvodina. In 11 days of turning the pedal, he crossed 1,175 kilometers. On each of the 106 cells he visited, he left a few pages of the book « Castles of Wraths » Aleksandra Barik.
This time he told himself from the final goal. This is not a « project », not an act of ‘ »activism » and all motives are extremely personal. He summarized his impressions in travelogue he has published on his blog. But why are the « traps of wrath »?
– I ran into that novel in high school, by accident. My dad worked in the printing house and brought you trial, scissor specimens home. I quickly forgot the Fabula, but I was a powerful feeling of freedom. As for the one who reads and for the one who wants to, like something, writes. She left a book on me, that possibility to say – « Well, I’d like this now. » The feeling I have when sitting on the bike is in a strange way very close to this. The fact that « Castles of Wraths » are in a certain way and « Roman about rail » and the main hero of the surveillance, finely fit into that insecure mosaic and the plan of the road I had in my head – says APRO says.
Mr. Rale in the novel in one place says that « the only real meaning of a train is chasing across the surface of the earth at a rate that no man or object are able to reach ».
« If in the meantime, this machine manages to convey a little coal or some cow from one village to another, so much better: but that is not the most important ». So says Rale.
Danijela is a railway to always boy fascinated. Speed much less. He doesn’t like cars, loves bicycles and trains.
– I wanted to visit the cells, to see them. As far as I chased … as much as possible on a bike, a person of 40 years and more than a hundred kilograms, against the wind. In short: Yes, I had to go on this time, « he said.

Novi Sad is no longer the same city

Our lives disappear, metaphorically, and, there, it happened that those 16 lives and the most qualified disappeared – our interlocutor said.
And nothing after 1. November, it will not be the same, nor is this more abstract dialogue on the nature of government and the effects of corruption.
– We were attacked on the street and forced to defend ourselves. Nothing (good) expected from institutions. They lie to us every day at every step. We don’t know when the train, is it allowed to drink water, whether the funnels are safe. We are afraid of the police. Arrests because of the opinion. On the ruin of the train station, however, one new wave of empathy was created. That was surprised me, I thought we really care about us crucially. I was touched by that concern that has a specific manifestation in the actions of students in the blockade. I hope it will not dilapidate, as if the Facade of the Railway Station in Bogojevo or Plandište is continuing.
Stations are divided into three groups …
The first group of stations are as written by APRO, those who are here to serve fast stripes, but are open or waiting for that spectacle. The others are those still somehow function (barely), but they look into trains that are delivered some forgotten world. Third are forgotten, overgrown into hostile vegetation. With who knows what kind of film destinations. Abandoned or inhabited as those in her neighbors or in them the locals keep hay, like the one in the assembly.
Today, train stations operate postpokaleptic (if this is at all the word).
They, testify APRO, are not swallowed by an unstoppable engine machine, not converted to betting or party issues, but as if someone one day, suddenly, left them. Just like that. We are in the west of the west and dried the golden veins.

Trains do not only serve to chase
Vojvodina is very attached to the railway, as well as a bicycle with which APRO all these stations visited. With cutting rails into the country somehow came dreams about a new opportunity. Our generation now testifies to the cupping of these same rails from the country.
Despite the attitudes of Mr. Rajl from « Castles of Wrath, » the trains do not only serve to chase, but to connect us. The stripes always leads somewhere and allows you to return one day. The infrastructure does not exist for itself.

The fate of railway stations is similar to the NOB monument
Finally, the number of attended stations (106) is the same as the number of monuments of the National Liberation Struggle that is APRO visited 2022. Years. At that time, 1,035 kilometers through Vojvodina, he also passed by bicycle and left one of 106 paper flowers on each anti-fascist monument.
This match says by accident. And now that annoys him. It may have somehow to rationalize it later. The truth is that he didn’t know how many cells had until he finished pedaling and made a list on paper.
