Socializing with top Slovenian athletes
Children will be able to live live by Judaist Urška Žolnir Jugovar, biathlete Klemen Bauer, athlete Jure Rovan, athlete Maja Mihalinec Zidar and former top gymnast and Olympian Miroslav Cerar. The program will be really diverse and vibrant, as they will present to the children a variety of Olympic sports, each with their own characteristics, history and origin; Everything from athletics, judo, karate, swimming, archery, biathlon, sports climbing, basketball to parasport. The goal is for children to take the camp full of excitement
This year, the camp is moving to Podčetrtek for the first time, the largest place in the beautiful Sotelsky, known for its healing springs and Terme Olimia. The children will be housed in the apartment village of Vas Lipa, where they will be greeted by idyllic houses and village square. The village creates a unique, almost fairytale environment in which children will feel at home. The main goal, however, is for children to leave the camp full of excitement, with fond memories and new knowledge – both sports and life. If we bring our love for sports to children with the camp and at the same time instill Olympic values, such as friendship, respect and fair play, then we know that we have succeeded, says the organizer of the sports camp for children, the Slovenian Olympic Committee.
