Olympia walked the edge but survived

The national basketball championship finals began with the expected victory of Cedevita Olympia, which was by no means easy. Krka offered good resistance to national champions, but in the end still had to admit a 73:75 defeat.

Olympia played without Andrija Stipanovic and DJ Stewart, who are not registered for the finals, and Devin Robinson, who had already concluded the season due to the injury, on the other hand missing Tayler Persons. The Novo mesto residents were much more tired, only on Sunday they eliminated Illyria in the semi -finals, but they resisted the competitors who beat them in all five duels this year.

Until the playoffs, Krka insisted on the side of Olympia, which did not get on a safe advantage. After two missed free throws of Jaka Blažič in the playoffs, they had an attack to equalize at 73, but Olympia made a personal mistake, even the newcomers to the free throws were not reliable and the victory went to Ljubljana.

“We certainly expected a hard match, we were also a bit nervous, so we made a lot of mistakes. Krka was in good rhythm, they were concerned with open mints and so we had problems in the end.
