Official visit to Washington, SIS chief Hyseni meeting with the CIA counterpart and US intelligence leaders
Guaranteeing regional and international security, through the exchange of information, were the headline of high-level meetings that SIS chief, Vlora Hyseni, held during an official several-day visit to Washington. Meeting the CIA leader and senior US intelligence officials were part of the agenda, which was rarely accompanied by a press release.
The Head of the Albanian Secret Service, Vlora Hyseni, paid an official visit to Washington on 15-17maj, where she met with senior officials of the US National Intelligence Office (ODNI), the State Department and the CIA, the Central Intelligence Agency. The director of SIS, during his official visit to Washington, also met the head of the CIA, John Ratcliffe. « With the director of the US Central Intelligence Agency, a number of bilateral cooperation issues were discussed, which emphasized excellent SIS partnership in the interest of identifying and preventing common threats. Assessments were exchanged on the regional and international security situation, discussed the deepening of cooperation, as well as enhancing intelligence capacities. »
