Obuljen Korzinek ‘Bencic’ Bencic around the GUP: ‘Now you are guilty of the government. You didn’t get ready ‘

Local elections will be held in Croatia on May 18, and political parties are increasingly being promoted. The guests of the ‘Open’ show were Stipe Mlinarić (Dp), Mihael Zmajlovic (SDP), Nina Obuljen Korzinek (HDZ) and Sandra Bencic (We can!).

Bencic referred to the fight at the Zagreb Political Arena. She said the current government in the capital is coordinated by the construction lobby and the Ministry of Construction.

– We expected the attacks on the Zagreb authorities to be great, because all interests were actually breaking here. That is why our slogan is « unstoppable to Zagreb ». Unstoppable to continue the transformation of the city into a modern, green city of 21st century and high quality of life, she told about HRT. Unstoppable, she continued, ‘for the fight for public interest, and the counter -party, party interests, which Zagreb perceived as their ATM’.

– We have put an end to this and now we see how much effort there is and how many in that venture are united to return the resources that have been used privately for years by the Bandicevci, parts of the construction lobby, but II parts of the political options that have been in power previously, she said. She also referred to the problems that her party encounters in the process of adopting a city urban plan (GUP).

– The GUP has become the subject of Kopalj breakup, because it can be seen how many interests and which parties – like Minister Branko Bacic, who destroys the GUP, but also by the construction lobby – they work the pressure not to bring a GUP to ensure even development – she added.

Culture Minister Obuljen Korzinek rejected the allegations that Minister Bacic was destroying the GUP and pointed out that the Zagreb government had not prepared documentation on time.

– This is not just a show about elections in Zagreb, but about local elections throughout Croatia. Introduction is quite unusual for me. First, Minister Branko Bacic does not break the GUP, you just have not prepared documentation on time. As is the case with every other GUP, it must be aligned with the law. You are waiting for the last day, the last day before the dissolution of the City Assembly of the City of Zagreb and now you are the wrong government, she said. Our slogan is ‘National Power and Local Vision’, because we approached each unit of local self -government in the same way, no matter who is in power.

– We have created the conditions for all local units to be developed and to enable even development. You have now, five minutes before the election, remember to bring a GUP. No more or less (op. A. Crimmed) Minister, who organized several with us and spent complete renovation in Zagreb, because if it had been to you – nothing would be renovated. That’s funny, she added.

Zmajlovic emphasized that each campaign includes a dose of party competition, but also said his party offers content.

– Each campaign includes party competition. The SDP and I are advocating that we offer citizens content and see how we can influence the quality of life of our citizens. We should avoid empty party competitions, ”he said.
He also referred to the discussion Benčić and Obuljen Koržinek.

– I can stand in defense of my colleague Bencic because I can personally testify that when the HDZ municipality should receive an opinion or decision, the Ministry does so in a few days and have been waiting for other municipalities for years, he said. Still, he emphasized, besides Zagreb – there are many other topics.

– SDP is ready for local elections. We have been preparing for a long time, we have great candidates and a lot of candidates. This is what we cultivate in the SDP, not only quotas, but quality people, concluded it.

Mlinaric said his party has a presence in numerous counties and that they offer quality candidates.

– Today I was in Dezanovac in Bjelovar-Bilogora County. I wish such areas and municipalities develop, to talk about GUPs and encouraging young people to stay in the countryside, he said. As he emphasized, they have a ‘serious candidate in that county – Maria Friedrich’.

– I’m sure we’ll take that municipality, but not just here. We go out independently in many municipalities and counties, he said.

He pointed out that they had candidates and in cities such as Vukovar, Ilok, Imotski … he also referred to the situation in Zagreb.

– I’ve been living in Zagreb since 1992. Zagreb never looked above. Traffic crowds are horrible, the garbage is a disaster, the grass is not mowed for a month. Zagreb certainly need changes. You can see that they are incapable, ”he concluded.
