Object inaction due to Palestine
Hverfisgata has now been closed due to protests, but a group of about 100 people have gathered outside a government meeting to protest the government’s inaction Kristrún Frostadóttir for the genocide in Gaza.
Protesters called « The children of Gaza are our children » when Guðmundur Ingi Kristinsson, Minister of Education and Children’s Affairs attended the meeting.
mbl.is is on the scene and talked to the protest ASK Hrafn Hannesson.
« Stop the expulsion of Palestinian men on the run »
Why are you here today?
« Because the government repeatedly promised measures around elections in connection with the Gaza genre, but now that a new regime has taken no action on any action. They constantly talk about how they » do not think « something, how it is » worth looking into « something and that something » is in progress « . But there are no action in sight.
Right now, the situation has just become so bad that it does not mean to wait anymore and pretend not to know what is happening. We have seen examples that many neighboring countries and our friends are going much further than we are. It is hardly possible to say that we have « walked » some, there are no viable actions I can point out.
So we have come here to demand that Iceland set at least some of its goals. «
What kind of reaction do you hope from the government?
« Political Confederation and a ban on Israel have been at the top, but it would be desirable that they would support South Africa’s dear African dear before the International Court of Justice and stop the expulsion of Palestinian people on the run. »
