Nutriariologists with higher medical education will not be prohibited for advertising esoterics
The State Duma Committee on Family Protection changed the bill on the ban on advertising of esoteric services: nutritziologists with higher medical education were excluded from it. Earlier, representatives of this industry complained to the government and the State Duma about the attempts of parliamentarians to equate specialists involved in the science of nutrition with the “charlatans and obscurantists”. The head of the committee Nina Ostanina (Communist Party) said that the deputies have no desire to ban the profession: they want to get rid of scammers and amateurs.
The head of the State Duma Committee on the Protection of the Family, Nina Ostanina, informed Kommersant that, in response to “numerous appeals,” the authors of the bill on the ban on advertising of esoteric services changed the list of activities that it apply to. Ms. Ostanina published the first version of the document on March 11. It proposed to block resources with the advertisement of alchemists, astrologers, witches, nutritionists, ruinologists, tarologists, palmities, esoteric coach and other similar activities. In total, there are 38 positions on the list. These practices, according to deputies, do not have a scientific justification, mislead people and are often used for fraud. Nina Ostanina herself calls the document « law against charlatans and obscurantists. »
The most acute nuthangiologists reacted to the document (See “Kommersant” from April 8). 14 non-profit organizations, institutions in the field of public health protection and leading nutrition schools turned to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, to the State Duma Committee for Health and the Public Chamber. They indicated that they support the regulation of the market of esoteric services, while considering it necessary to legislatively distinguish between scientific methods and “pseudo -scientific and potentially dangerous practices”. Getting on the list of nutrition, in their opinion, is a mistake, the authors of the letter are sure, since we are talking about the « science of nutrition. »
On April 9, Nina Ostanina published a new version of the document.
Nutriagiologists still remained on the list of those whose advertising should be prohibited, but an exception for “medical organizations” and specialists with a higher medical education was added.
“Indeed, it turned out that we have such a specialty in universities (nutrition. – « Kommersant »), – explained “Kommersant” Mrs. Ostanina. “Therefore, people who have a special medical education have the right to engage in this activity. We are not orthodox. There is no desire to prohibit the profession, those who benefit. One desire is to get rid of amateurs and scammers. ”
Olga Shupppo, the founder and scientific director of the clinic of immunorebilization, adaptive and preventive and preventive medicine, considers the proposed compromise “quite reasonable”. According to her, nutrition is part of the healthcare system, specialists should only deal with higher medical education. The services of a nutritionist definitely cannot offer, for example, nurses who do not have the necessary knowledge of physiology, biochemistry, anatomy, she emphasizes. “Often, patients are addressed after treatment for such pseudonutututriclists who advertise a deep understanding of physiology,” says Mrs. Shuppo. “In fact, they not only have superficial knowledge, but often cripple their customers.”
In the new version of the bill, reliefs for playups, neurographers, practitioners of conscious dreams and arrangers also drew the attention of Kommersant.
They will be able to advertise their services if experts have a higher psychological education. This will not interfere with fraudsters underground to continue their job, Nina Ostanina admits, but hopes that « people will think about whether it is worth going » to such a professional that no one knows about. » The bill will be finalized before submitting to the State Duma.
