Nursing Workers Union to meet with a pigeon and ministers

In the Union of Workers in nursing They are disappointed with the salary reform, which, in their view, has created many new anomalies. The situation in nursing is critical, there is a lot of lack of care, they emphasize. To retain staff have some suggestions you would like to present to the Prime Minister Robert Golob and the competent ministers.

In a letter to Prime Minister Robert Golob, Minister of Health Valentini Prevolnik Rupel and the Minister of the Solidar Future Simon Malevec The union states that for the second month of payments in accordance with the accepted salary reform in the public sector and « again disappointment between employees in nursing over the so -called salary reform.

At the beginning of the negotiations, it was said that the importance of wage columns was to solve the specifics that are characteristic of jobs and professions that are an integral part of the pillar. That is why, according to the union, nursing staff were right to expect solutions that would help to curb the departure of public health staff and worse from social care.

« None of this happened, as this year many departures are announced by those who have until the end believed in public health and the specific solutions of the health care issues, especially in terms of payment for labor, working conditions and the acceptance of standards and norms, » the Nursing Union of Nursing Workers emphasized.

Paying reform is a single disappointment, which was constantly alerted as a union during the negotiations, but were heard. Because of this, they have not signed documents that define salary reform, since, according to the union, this is not at all because it « created many new anomalies both inside the pillar and compared to workplaces in other columns. » “It will probably survive the system without trade unions, but without a sufficient number of staffing, it certainly does not. Keep this before your eyes when looking for solutions for the public health system, « they wrote.

They emphasized that as a state we are becoming very uninteresting in nursing jobs, because they are already catching up with employees in the countries of the former Yugoslavia.

The union has some proposals for concrete solutions to retain staff in public health and social care and the acquisition of young people in Slovenia. They stated that in February the Employment Service of Slovenia announced more than 2400 vacancies for paramedics and caregivers. This is a number that is impossible to fill in the union, even with a foreign labor force.

“In order to be able to present our view of solving a critical situation in the field of nursing, please invite us to a work meeting, where we will be able to present our exit proposals from the current situation. It should be borne in mind that without satisfied employees there are no and no quality health care, be it such a great priority of the ruling policy of the policy, « they wrote.
