Now Tuborg has made a big decision

When Danish young parties there are often alcohol on the table. It makes it easier to talk to each other, contribute to a nicer atmosphere, and helps to shake people together. This is stated by young Danes in a new study from the IPSOS analysis institute, which Tuborg has been made among 1000 Danish young people between the ages of 18 and 25.

Still, four out of five young people – 78 percent – believe that it is now time for a better alcohol culture, where it is accepted to hold back or completely say no to alcohol when they meet and party.

For under the good atmosphere, there may also be pressure to drink. Thus, 77 percent of young people find it expected to drink alcohol for a party or social gathering.

The study was done in connection with Tuborg on Friday, April 4, with its first independent media campaign on moderate alcohol consumption to inspire young people to a better alcohol culture.

It writes Tuborg in one press release.

Under the heading drink with respect, Tuborg with movies, ads and concrete efforts, where the young people meet to party, inspire how to drink with respect for themselves, for friends and for the community. At the same time, Rasmus Brohave, as ambassador for Tuborg’s campaign, will help the message to come out as much as possible.

« As the Danes’ favorite beer brand, we are in Tuborg with when young people meet, go to a party and to a concert. Therefore, we also have part of the responsibility for how we ensure the good, common experiences. We want to help change the alcohol culture in Denmark. No one should feel pressured to drink more than they feel like, and it should be ok to drink moderate or completely say no to alcohol, » Carlsberg Denmark.

Tuborg will reduce binge-drinking

At home, young people generally drink less alcohol than before shows figures from the national health profile. But in comparison with other countries in Europe, Danish young people still have high consumption when it comes to so-called Binge-drinking*. Tuborg would like to help reduce that with the new campaign.

« Our goal is to make it easier to say no or take an alcohol -free alternative when you don’t want to drink anymore. It’s not about the young people not having to drink, it’s about drinking with respect – for themselves and for each other, » says Peter Haahr Nielsen.

Humor instead of raised index finger

The campaign is based on the over 800 different expressions of being intoxicated, which is found in Danish, and shows with a twinkle in the eye that it is also not fun ‘to be sawed in the middle’, ‘drink in the fence’ and ‘be stiff’.

« We are aware of our role and responsibility as a brewery. We sell both products with alcohol and without alcohol. We know. Our campaign, where with a twinkle in the eye we draw on a number of Danish twists that say something about the alcohol culture in Denmark, ”says Peter Haahr Nielsen.
