Now there is warning against electricity company

So much suddenly disappeared from Jacob’s bank account one morning in February – drawn by his then electricity company.
The amount came without notice and without approval.
First he was told that it was due to a technical error and that the money would be repaid.

Three months later he still has not seen a penny.
He’s not alone.
Several consumers are now saying that they have been charged large sums in opaque accountable accounts-and that repayment fails.
One of them is Laila from East Jutland, which was drawn for over DKK 5,000, despite an electricity consumption of less than DKK 1,000 a month.
« I feel completely and totally robbed, » she says to TV 2.
It’s about Zosani Energi – an electricity company that has increasingly ended up in the spotlight.
The reviews are overturning and several customers have reported the company to the police.
The Consumer Ombudsman confirms to have received a number of complaints.
At the Consumer Council Think, the electricity industry is called « the Wild West ».
According to senior adviser Christian Sand, the market has for years been characterized by companies without control and transparency:
« You and I could have done it. »
Zosani Energi’s owner Kenny Santos states that he is closing down the company as it could not run around.
The government has announced new austerity-including requirements for MitID when changing company and stricter rules for account charges.
But they will not take effect until 2026 and come too late for the many customers who have already lost thousands of dollars.
