PensionDanmark and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) have teamed up to create a platform that can bring the green transition of the energy supply into a new phase.
With the establishment of the company Plexar Energy, the partners will develop and operate so -called micronet based on renewable energy, which is financed and owned by CI Microgrid Electrification Fund (CI MEF). The fund, a so -called pilot fund, is created with a total investment commitment of DKK 112.5 million. euro, of which PensionDanmark comes with DKK 100 million. euro, and the remaining come from CIP.
Micronet, also called Microgrids, is independent, local electricity grid that can supply large quantities of green energy to large customers such as transport companies and industrial productions without adversely affecting the electricity supply in the surrounding community.
