Now DSB makes it free
From June 1, 2025, it will be possible to take his bicycle free of charge in the regional train on the Fredericia -Odense and Fredericia – Aarhus sections.
It informs DSB in one press release.
This is done as an extension of the ongoing attempt at Zealand, where bicycles outside the rush hour have already been able to come without a ticket.
The initiative is initially valid until August 31, 2025, and it meets with great enthusiasm – both from cyclists and climate defenders.
« We have gained good and valuable experiences over the past year, where we have tested free bicycles in regional trains in Zealand. We want to give all our customers the opportunity, and therefore we are expanding the attempt to Funen and Jutland, » says Tony Bispeskov, Information Manager at DSB.
When is it free?
The bike can be brought free of charge outside the rush hour, which means:

Before 7 p.m. 6, between 7 p.m. 9–15 and after 7 p.m. 18 on weekdays

All day on weekends and on holidays
If you travel during rush hour – at. 6–9 and 15-18 – it still costs 20 kroner for a cycling space.
The ticket can be purchased via DSB’s app, ticket machines and 7-Eleven at the stations.
DSB has expanded the bicycle seats in their double -decker cars, where there are now up to 18 bikes per day. train. But there is still limited space and it is up to the train driver to assess when full.
