The 53-year-old, who violated an employee of a law firm in February, acted with the influence of a pronounced paranoid schizophrenia, according to the report.
The man, who had stabbed an employee on February 3, 2025 in a law firm in Vienna-Landstrasse and injured it life-threatening, was incapable of accounting at the time of the crime and was therefore not guilty. This is the result of a psychiatric report made up by the Vienna public prosecutor’s office. According to the expertise, the 53-year-old acted under the influence of a pronounced paranoid schizophrenia.
Due to the founded group of guilt, the man could not be charged for attempted murder. Instead, the public prosecutor’s office has applied for the – permanently permanent – accommodation of the man to a forensic -therapeutic center in accordance with Section 21 (1) of the Criminal Code. Due to its serious and sustainable mental disorder relevant to the crime, the prosecution fears that further actions with serious consequences are to be expected in the foreseeable future if the 53-year-old is not accommodated and treated therapeutically.
Court hearing on July 10th
As the spokeswoman for the state court, Christina Salzborn, confirmed, will be negotiated on July 10th in the Gray House on the application for accommodation. The fact that the low 56-year-old survived the knife attack almost borders a miracle. The man added a stab wound on her face, ten stab wounds in the chest and abdominal area and five more to arms and legs.
The 53-year-old has been a client of the law firm since August 2024. On February 3, he should have received cash. Originally, attempts had been made to set up a so -called everyday account for the mentally striking man in order to enable him more autonomy. However, this did not work because he could only show the copy of an expired passport. As a replacement solution, there were weekly cash payments.
However, there were inconsistencies at the appointment on February 3. The 53-year-old wanted 400 euros, but he was only granted half of the amount. The 53-year-old moved away, but turned back in the afternoon and stabbed the 56-year-old in the staircase after he had carried the woman to the ground with a punch. Then he ran away. He could be arrested the same evening. (APA)
