« Normal democratic rules of the game »
One of the leadership revolutions in the Socialist Party today claims to have played according to « democratic rules » and dismisses the allegations of smoldering.
He says he wants to prove to the true Magdalena, the party’s political leaders, that a new executive has a sincere intent on improving the party’s work.
Gunnar Smári Egillson, founder of the Socialist Party of Iceland, and his alleged array were circumvented in election to the party’s executive committee at the Socialist Annual General Meeting in Bolholt today.
The so -called « toss list » was conducted with instructions on who should be elected. The art was clearly to the head of Gunnar Smári and those who were his sidelines. A new Commission was thus elected and had better against people who have been in the party’s leader for years.
Not a smoldering
« These were just natural democratic rules, » says Karl Héðinn Kristjánsson, chairman of Röda, who has now been elected to the executive committee. He has been behind the list.
« It was not a new member of the party into the party. We were just a large group that was well organized and encouraged members to attend the Annual General Meeting and speak for the amendments that have been spoken before within the party, the outgoing leadership led by Gunnarssára ehfra to prevent. »
The « toss list » as David wants to call him, went into distribution of social media on the eve of the Annual General Meeting.

Karl Héðinn Kristjánsson, chairman of Röda, has had public disputes with Gunnar Smári for some time and accused the party organizer of violence and spiritual violence.
He says the election is a clear message from members that there is a will for change.
« They want power distribution we have proclaimed, the establishment of regional members and reduce the central government, » he adds.
Some have immediately resigned from the party after the election, including María Lilja Ingveldar-Þrastardóttir Kemp and Guðmundur Hrafn Arngrímsson, who have been both high on the party’s list.
« It hurts to watch good companies go, » says Karl, « but we who have been elected to the party’s boards are all at one point to make our utmost to prove us, prove our intention in promoting the job, making it more transparent, doing it. »
David Thor Jónsson, who was the leader of the party in the Southwest constituency, claims to be under the coat about whether he intends to continue in the category.
Prove
Sanna Magdalena Mörtudóttir was re -elected as the party’s political leader, but she told mbl.is earlier today that she was dissatisfied with the working methods of a new board in the run -up to the Annual General Meeting and at the meeting.
Are you worried that there is a gap in between?
« It would be awful, » replies Karl. « But she is our dear partner and it is up to us, the new directors, to prove us to her with good working methods as we show our sincere intent on improving the work, building trust and credibility and we truly want to have it in that process. »
