Non grata, stain that is never removed
The Diaspora’s SP political leader, Taulant Balla, focused on the $ 6 million Democratic Party lobbying in a media interview in Greece. According to Balla, lobbying is done to remove a stain that, according to him, can never disappear. In the media interview from Omonia Square in Athens, Balla raised the question of where Sali Berisha finds $ 6 million to pay to remove the ‘stain’.
« How is it possible that a politician who is accused of corruption, the US, declared non grata precisely for corruption in large sums and in the sabotage of democracy, today this man, without any explanation, extracts $ 6 million. Where he found this money to remove this black stain, though you know very well that this type is never removed, » he said.
Balla emphasized the strong connection that the SP has always had with the diaspora and role of the Albanians of Greece in the overthrow of Berisha. « The SP is the only party that has had a constant contact with the diaspora in Greece. In 2013, the Diaspora played an important role in that historic SP victory to overthrow Sali Berisha’s regime at the time, » Balla said.
Balla called on all Albanians in Greece and beyond to vote on May 11 to conclude Albania’s European journey. « From OMONIA Square I turn to all our compatriots, not only here in Athens, but throughout Greece and the world, we have reached the finish today.Balla said.
